Progress reports and publications can be downloaded free of charge, to answer your questions and clarifies issues and concerns about malaria control interventions applied in Zanzibar. We kindly encourage you also to a read useful history of malaria control in our Isles.
The main task of our Programme is to guide the Ministry of Health and Social Welfare on the recommended approaches of controlling and finally eliminating malaria. This is done through the MOH decision makers and frontline health care workers in both public and private sector. Emphasis is given on the importance of applying multiple interventions such as prompt malaria case management, vector control, behavioral change communications, provision of working guidelines and tools to mention the few. Results from the operations research are used for programmatic decision based on current malaria trends.
